Deliver essential healthcare support in a dynamic K-12 school environment in Houston, TX, serving as a dedicated School Nurse (RN or LVN). This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), with an assignment beginning late January through mid-February. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, providing care to students in the health room.
Key qualifications include:
- Valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license, Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license, or a Compact RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working with school-age children is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Conduct health assessments, manage acute and chronic health conditions, and provide first aid and emergency care to students
- Monitor and promote student health, ensuring a safe and supportive school environment
- Maintain detailed health records and communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
- Assist with health education and wellness programs tailored for the K-12 student population
- Adhere to state and school health policies and confidentiality standards
