Job Description

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide specialized, one-on-one student support in a school setting. This onsite position is based in Hopkins, MN, serving a medically fragile student who requires expert tracheostomy care and comprehensive nursing support.

Responsibilities include managing complex medical needs such as tracheostomy and ventilator care, ostomy bag maintenance, and administration of nasally delivered medication for seizure control. The student also has adrenal insufficiency and requires continuous feeding via a G-J tube, respiratory support with a nebulizer, and mobility assistance in a wheelchair. The nurse will ensure all care is delivered safely and effectively in compliance with healthcare protocols and school policies.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active Minnesota Registered Nurse license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Proven experience with tracheostomy care
  • Pediatric nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to provide compassionate and attentive care tailored to the student's medical and developmental needs
