Job Description

A full-semester contract position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a medically fragile student in a K-12 school setting in Hillsboro, OR. This vital role involves one-on-one care for a student requiring specialized nursing services, including tracheostomy care and pediatric life-saving interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and monitoring to a medically fragile student in a school environment.
  • Perform tracheostomy care and maintain airway safety.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies with life-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare providers to support the students educational and health needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records.

Qualifications:

  • Current Oregon RN license required; consideration given to LPN or CNA candidates with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in tracheostomy care.
  • Ability to perform pediatric life-saving interventions.
  • Experience working with medically fragile children preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Location and Schedule:

  • Hillsboro, Oregon (K-12 school).
  • Full semester contract: Start ASAP through 5/30/2026.
  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM, with early release on Wednesdays at 2 PM (optional).
