Step into a dynamic contract role supporting K-12 students across a vibrant school district as a skilled RN with School Nurse certification. This is a full-time leave coverage opportunity lasting through the end of the school year (6/2/2026). You'll collaborate with dedicated staff, providing essential medical care and supporting students well-being throughout various campuses in the community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Valid School Nurse Certification
- Previous experience working with children or within educational settings is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Capacity to travel between schools as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with medication administration and student health protocols
Primary Duties:
- Float among K-12 schools within the district, ensuring each campus receives high-quality nursing care
- Administer medications and manage health care plans according to school policies
- Conduct routine vision and hearing screenings, documenting outcomes accurately
- Participate in IEP meetings, supporting medically fragile students with tailored health management strategies
- Serve as a trusted contact for faculty, parents, and students regarding day-to-day health concerns
- Maintain exceptional documentation on student health, treatments, and screenings
