Job Description
A full-time Registered Nurse with a Certified School Nurse credential or RN license, including vision and hearing screening certifications, is needed to provide health services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers leave coverage through the end of the current school year, ending June 2, 2026, based in Hesperia, CA, with duties supporting schools throughout the district.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and provide health care to students as needed
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings across the district
- Attend IEP meetings to support medically fragile students
- Provide health consultations and promote wellness within the school community
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure student wellbeing
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certified School Nurse credential preferred
- Valid vision and hearing screening certifications
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting
- Ability to navigate a float role supporting multiple schools within the district
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Location:
- Position is based in Hesperia, CA with assignments throughout the school district.
