Job Description
A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a trach-dependent first-grade student in an elementary school setting located in Hershey, PA. This contract role spans the current school year and requires constant supervision to ensure the health and safety of the student.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care tailored to a trach-dependent child
- Monitor and maintain tracheostomy equipment and airway management throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educational staff to support the students health needs and emergency preparedness
- Document and report health status and interventions accurately
- Advocate for the student's well-being and respond promptly to any medical concerns
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Competence in tracheostomy care and airway management
- Ability to provide compassionate, vigilant, one-on-one care
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
Schedule:
- Part-time position, approximately 2 days per week
- Hours aligned with the students school schedule
