Your primary responsibility will be delivering dedicated 1:1 health support for a student, ensuring their medical needs are addressed throughout the school day. Youll work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to create a nurturing environment that safeguards student health and empowers them to achieve academic success.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Virginia
• Previous experience working in schools, pediatrics, or with children preferred
• Strong assessment and observational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and parents
• Knowledge of individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency protocols
• CPR and First Aid certifications (current)
• Team-oriented attitude, reliability, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• One-on-one nursing care for a student, administering medications, treatments, and monitoring health conditions
• Support daily health needs, including feeding tubes, insulin administration, mobility assistance, or seizure monitoring as required
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with school policies
• Partner with educational staff to facilitate safe participation in classroom and school activities
• Respond rapidly and competently in the event of a medical emergency
• Promote health education and help maintain a positive and inclusive environment
