A full-time School Nurse opportunity is available in Harvey, LA, serving a K-12 school setting. This contract position is ideal for Registered Nurses who are passionate about student health and wellness in educational environments. The role involves providing comprehensive health room services, supporting students physical and emotional needs throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily nursing care and health assessments to students
- Manage student health records and medication administration
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student wellness
- Respond promptly to emergencies and health-related incidents on campus
- Promote health education and preventive care among the student population
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- BSN preferred; ASN applicants will be considered
- Experience working in school or pediatric nursing settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Location: Harvey, LA, with additional openings in the New Orleans area.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, contract for the current school year.
