This position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in an elementary school setting, supporting a first-grade student with complex medical needs. Key Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience or skills in school nursing, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Ability to provide constant supervision and care for a tracheostomy-dependent student
- Part-time availability, working 2 days per week
Location and Schedule:
- Located in Harrisburg, PA
- Part-time schedule, approximately 2 days per week
- School-year contract duration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one nursing care to a first-grade student requiring specialized medical attention
- Monitor and manage tracheostomy care, ensuring constant supervision and safety
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support the student's health and participation in educational activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and student progress
