Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Prior nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with school health protocols and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing services and conduct health assessments for students in the health room
- Care for acute injuries, manage chronic medical conditions, and respond to health emergencies
- Maintain accurate health records and medication administration logs
- Educate students, families, and staff on wellness and preventative care practices
- Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with special medical needs
- Coordinate care with parents, providers, and school staff to ensure student safety
