This contract role, located near Hamburg and Jamestown, NY, is full-time and centers on providing health services in the schools Health Room. Your experience as a school RN or related nursing field will ensure youre ready to respond to daily student health needs, implement care plans, and act as a vital resource for both staff and students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license in New York
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood health conditions and school health compliance regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage medical records confidentially and efficiently
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
Primary Duties:
- Deliver first aid and nursing care to students in the Health Room
- Coordinate medication administration and chronic illness management
- Maintain accurate health records in accordance with school policy
- Collaborate with educational staff to promote student wellness
- Support compliance with immunization and health screening requirements
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies within the school setting
