Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a meaningful, hands-on role supporting students with specialized medical needs in a school setting. Youll provide direct nursing care to a small caseload of students, working onsite at a vibrant elementary school and collaborating with educators, families, and outside medical providers to promote student health and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support children with complex and critical health needs
  • Skilled in G-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning (preferred)
  • Comfort with seizure/epilepsy monitoring and management (preferred)
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work full-time onsite during school hours

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care to students with critical and medically fragile conditions
  • Manage and administer medications, including injections and emergency treatments
  • Monitor for and respond to potential health emergencies (e.g., seizures)
  • Provide G-tube feedings, trach care, and suctioning as needed
  • Maintain accurate health records in accordance with policy and privacy regulations
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance on medical needs and emergency plans
  • Communicate with physicians and outside healthcare providers to coordinate care
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
