Key Qualifications:
- Current NY state RN license
- Experience in school or pediatric nursing is a plus
- Ability to adapt to multiple sites and handle a diverse elementary and middle school population
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health services to students
- Support and collaborate with school nurses, offering coverage across the district as needed
- Respond to health emergencies and manage chronic and acute conditions in the school setting
- Promote health education and disease prevention initiatives
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district protocols
- Communicate with students, parents, and staff to foster a safe and supportive learning environment
- Serve as a resource on school health matters for school personnel
