Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students across K-12 in a contract nursing position for the upcoming school year in the Foresthill/Grass Valley area. Here, your expertise will make a direct impact on student health, collaborating closely with faculty, families, and the school team. This role entails working one day each week, covering two school sites (preschool through 8th grade) beginning September 1st, 2026 through December 1st, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledgeable in supporting IEP health and development assessments and reporting
  • Ability to create, review, and update Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
  • Comfortable providing staff consults or training for medical needs (e.g., tube feeding, EPI-Pen)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the health and development component of IEP assessments, compiling and submitting thorough reports
  • Collaborate with educational teams and families, reviewing assessment findings as requested
  • Provide consultative support and in-service training for staff managing higher medical needs
  • Develop, implement, and review health care plans for students
  • Rotate between two nearby school campuses, ensuring comprehensive coverage for all grade levels
