A healthcare professional with a focus on school nursing is sought to support a K-12 educational setting in the Grady, NM area. This contract position offers a comprehensive opportunity to deliver nursing care within the school community, promoting student health and wellbeing throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students across K-12 grade levels
- Manage and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school and state regulations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans
- Participate in health education and promotion activities within the school environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) certification required
- Experience in school nursing preferred, handling K-12 age groups
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Position Details:
- Location: Grady, NM
- Contract duration: Current school year (CSY)
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
