Job Description

This contract opportunity in Goleta, CA, calls for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with case management experience and a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) available for a part-time commitment of 3 hours per week. The position focuses on supporting a school environment by conducting a comprehensive triennial reassessment for a student with specific medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough triennial reassessment, updating health care plans tailored to the student's needs
  • Coordinate care involving a medical aide and collaborate closely with school staff
  • Meet in person with the student and their parents to understand and address health concerns effectively
  • Provide RN case management support while overseeing the students health care requirements within the school setting
  • Ensure communication and compliance with relevant healthcare and educational guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid RN licensure with case management experience preferred
  • LVN licensure required for 3 hours per week commitment
  • Ability to work fully in person with flexible scheduling optionshours can be spread throughout the week or consolidated into one day
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Prior experience in school nursing and health care plan development is highly desirable

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Goleta, California
  • Contract role starting as soon as possible, with a target start date of June 3, 2026
  • Flexible scheduling for LVN hours, allowing for workload distribution throughout the week or on a single day
