Job Description
A full-time Registered Nurse position is available to support a K-12 school near Glen Ellyn, IL. This contract runs from ASAP through the end of February, providing essential health room services throughout the school year. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to student health and safety while working in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health room care to students and staff in the school environment
- Assess and manage student health concerns and emergencies
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents and staff as needed
- Administer medications and treatments according to school policies and physician instructions
- Support health education and preventative care initiatives within the school community
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Ability to work effectively with children of all ages and diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
