In this unique assignment, you will play an integral role in supporting a 3-year-old student with a tracheostomy and occasional ventilator needsan assignment that will stretch your abilities and increase your confidence. You'll be immersed in best practices and provide critical care while riding with the student to and from school on Mondays and Fridays, connecting with the students family and educational staff. Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license in MA
- Previous school-based nursing experience
- Capability to complete CORI and fingerprinting process
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric care, specifically with tracheostomy/ventilator
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Willingness and physical ability to safely supervise and assist an ambulatory, active young child
Role Responsibilities:
- Accompanying student by van during pre/post school travel (Mondays & Fridays)
- Delivering trach and ventilator care as needed
- Collaborating with school and transportation staff
- Engaging sensitively with young children and their families
- Maintaining accurate health records and safety protocols
