A 40-hour per week nursing position is available in an elementary school located in Fort Leavenworth, KS, offering a contract opportunity. This role primarily involves providing specialized one-on-one nursing care to a student requiring tracheostomy care, as well as administering multiple tube feedings throughout the day to several other students with varying disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care for a student with a tracheostomy
- Perform multiple tube feedings daily for several students
- Monitor and support students with a range of disabilities as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and follow school health policies
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student health needs
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license required
- Experience in public school nursing preferred
- Ability to manage specialized medical needs in a school setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with children and school personnel
