A healthcare professional is needed to provide nursing support in a school setting located in Foresthill, CA. This travel assignment involves working one day per week from September 1, 2026, through December 1, 2026, supporting children from preschool through 8th grade across two school sites. The primary focus is assisting with the health and development components of Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessments, submitting detailed reports, and reviewing these with families upon request.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support health and development portions of IEP assessments and document findings accurately.
- Submit reports to the IEP team and engage with parents as needed for clarification or discussion.
- Develop and update individualized healthcare plans.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on complex medical procedures such as tube feeding and EpiPen administration.
- Serve students across multiple grades (K-8), ensuring compliance with care standards.
- Collaborate with the educational team to promote a safe and supportive environment for students with medical needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in California (CA RN) is required.
- Experience working in school health settings preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, school personnel, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of nursing care for pediatric populations and special health needs.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
