Job Description

This contract assignment entails working one day per week from September 1st, 2026, through December 1st, 2026. You'll partner closely with two school sites, serving a K-12 grade range, and play a pivotal role in supporting the Health and Development portion of Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessments. Your responsibilities will also include submitting comprehensive reports to the educational team and reviewing them with families as needed. A portion of the role involves developing/updating healthcare plans and providing essential consultation or staff training for high-needs interventions such as tube feeding or EPI-Pen usage.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (CA RN)
  • Previous experience with pediatric or school-based nursing is highly desirable
  • Skilled in conducting IEP health assessments and reporting
  • Confident in delivering training, consultation, and emergency procedures
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and document health and development assessments for IEPs
  • Submit clear, thorough reports to multidisciplinary team members
  • Serve as a resource for families, offering to review health plans when needed
  • Develop, update, and maintain individual healthcare plans for students
  • Consult with or train staff in specialized medical interventions as required
