Job Description
A full-time registered nurse (RN) is needed to provide general health room services at a busy high school with approximately 2,000 students. This onsite position involves supporting student health plans, triage, and specialized care such as diabetic student management. The RN will at times work independently in the health room, requiring strong knowledge of regulations and best practices related to school nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the health room and deliver direct nursing care to students
- Implement and follow student health plans
- Provide triage support and respond to health emergencies
- Administer care for students with chronic conditions, including diabetes
- Maintain compliance with school health laws and guidelines
- Collaborate with school staff to promote student wellness and safety
Qualifications:
- Current RN license valid in Washington State
- Prior experience working in a school health room setting
- Familiarity with school health care laws and protocols
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Location: Everett, WA (onsite)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
