Job Description
A school-based Registered Nurse position is available for a summer program running from July 6th through July 24th in Everett, WA. This contract role supports the Extended School Year (ESY) program and requires availability for 3 to 4 days per week. The focus is on delivering high-quality nursing care within a school setting to support students with diverse health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students during the ESY program
- Manage medication administration and health plans in accordance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student health and safety
- Respond to medical emergencies and maintain accurate health documentation
- Support health education initiatives and help foster a safe learning environment
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with school nursing experience preferred
- Experience working in school or pediatric healthcare settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with Extended School Year (ESY) programs is a plus
