Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Previous experience with ventilator/trach care, especially in pediatric settings or 1:1 environments
- Comfortable riding the bus to and from school with the student for continuous care
- Ability to adapt quickly and support additional student and district needs if the primary student is absent
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with children, parents, and staff
- Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and attentive care throughout the school day
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, 1:1 nursing support to a Kindergarten student throughout the school day
- Accompany the student on the bus to and from school for seamless medical care
- Administer necessary procedures and monitor health status, responding proactively to changes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards at all times
- Support general health room operations or assist other students as directed when the assigned student is absent
- Collaborate closely with school staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal care
