A new opportunity is available for an experienced school nurse to support a respected elementary district throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role offers the chance to work with PreK through 6th grade students across multiple sites, including the surrounding San Diego, Poway, and Carlsbad areas. The assignment covers all students in the district, providing a diverse and dynamic caseload.
What Were Looking For:
- Active CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, or RN actively working toward a California School Nurse Services Credential (CSN)
- Willingness to obtain audiology licensure within one year of hire
- Experience or strong interest in school nursing, pediatric, or community health settings
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites within a district
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organization skills
- Commitment to supporting the health and well-being of elementary students
Role Highlights:
- Deliver vital health services on-site for PreK6th grade students districtwide
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and administration to support student wellness
- Manage health screenings, medication administration, and individualized care
- Ensure accurate health records and compliance with all state and district regulations
