A healthcare professional is needed to provide specialized nursing care in a middle school setting in Elkhart, IN. This full-time, onsite contract position involves one-on-one support for a middle school student requiring tracheostomy care until the end of the academic year. The role demands clinical expertise and compassionate care tailored to pediatric needs within a school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive RN nursing care to a student with tracheostomy support
- Monitor and manage respiratory status and other medical needs during school hours
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support the students health and safety
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and school health policies
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Prior experience in pediatrics and tracheostomy care preferred
