Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license recognized in Minnesota
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric nursing highly valued
- Proficiency in individualized care planning based on student health needs
- Strong communication skills to partner effectively with teachers, parents, and school personnel
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to manage shifting needs during the school day
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to support students with medical needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive 1:1 nursing care and supervision for a student during school hours
- Implement and monitor individualized healthcare plans, coordinating with educators and families
- Administer medications, manage routine and emergency interventions, and maintain accurate health records
- Attend IEP or student support meetings as required
- Educate staff and caregivers on medical procedures and response protocols when necessary
- Promote a positive, healthy environment aligned with the schools policies and best practices
- Assist with transitions between activities and support student participation in classroom and school events as needed
