A summer opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in school health care. This role provides essential nursing services within an educational setting, supporting the health and well-being of students during the summer months.
Location: Elk River, MN
Position Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM 12:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and health education.
- Manage chronic and acute medical conditions in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure student health needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation.
- Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Promote health awareness and wellness initiatives within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in school nursing.
- Ability to work independently in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing and common school health issues.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
This role offers an excellent setting to apply nursing skills in a school environment during the summer, supporting student health and safety. The position follows a part-time schedule Monday through Thursday, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.
