Key qualifications and experience:
- Current RN license in New Jersey (unrestricted)
- Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads spanning K-12, adapting seamlessly to various grade levels
- Comfort with 1:1 care for students requiring individualized medical attention
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and promote best practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing support for students across multiple grade levels
- Deliver 1:1 care when required, attending to students with specific medical needs
- Administer medications, first aid, and health assessments in accordance with established protocols
- Participate in the development and execution of healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Engage with faculty and parents to advocate for student health and safety within the school community
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits, prevention, and wellness initiatives
