In this rewarding contract role, you'll make a real difference as an RN supporting a preschool-aged student with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD). Responsibilities include one-on-one care, overseeing an NG-tube (not G-tube), and safe lifting and transport for a non-ambulatory child who weighs approximately 24 pounds. Your day will begin with assisting the student on the bus and ensuring their well-being throughout the school day, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This onsite position offers a schedule of approximately 35 hours per week from June 1 to June 26, 2026.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in New Jersey
- Strong pediatric nursing experience required
- Proficiency in managing NG-tubes (no G-tube management needed)
- Experience with non-ambulatory pediatric patients
- Comfortable with safe lifting and transport of young children
- Ability to work independently in a school environment
- Professional, compassionate, and reliable
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized healthcare for a preschool student with INAD
- Monitor and maintain NG-tube, including feeding and medication as directed
- Safely lift and transport the student throughout the school day
- Support the student during bus transportation to and from school
- Communicate effectively with classroom staff and healthcare team
- Maintain accurate health records and proper documentation
