Job Description
A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to provide specialized support to medically fragile students in an elementary school setting. This role involves working approximately 10 hours per week during the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis in Elgin, IL.
Key responsibilities include monitoring student health, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, and collaborating with school staff and families to ensure each student's medical needs are safely met throughout the school day. The nurse will also assist in developing individualized healthcare plans and respond quickly to any health emergencies.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with valid credentials to practice in a school setting
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate care to medically fragile students
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with educators, parents, and healthcare providers
