Job Description
A full-time school nurse position is available for the upcoming semester, serving a high school setting. This role requires providing comprehensive nursing care to students across the entire school building, ensuring their health and safety throughout the academic term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing services to a high school student population
- Manage a caseload encompassing the whole school building
- Conduct health screenings and assessments
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with state and school health regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and certifications valid in New Jersey
- Previous school-based nursing experience is required
- Ability to manage a high school health caseload effectively
- Completion of fingerprint clearance and required health screenings, including TB test and physical exam
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel
Position Details:
- Contract appointment through June 26, 2026
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: Orange, NJ area
- Interview format: In person and/or Zoom
