Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active RN license in New York State (required)
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential records and adhere to all district policies
- Proficient with electronic health record systems is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid, emergency care, and routine health services to students and staff
- Administer medication and manage chronic health conditions per physician orders
- Implement care plans for students with special health needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student wellness
- Maintain accurate health records, required documentation, and state compliance reports
- Educate students and staff on preventive health practices and wellness programs
