Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in New York State
- Experience working with pediatric populations or within a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students, parents, and school staff
- Ability to assess, monitor, and manage student health concerns and medication administration
- Basic computer skills for documentation and record keeping
- CPR and First Aid certification required
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to students for illness, injuries, and chronic health conditions
- Administer medications and conduct necessary health screenings
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with medical needs
- Promote best practices in school-wide health and hygiene
- Act as a liaison between school personnel, families, and healthcare providers
- Support the schools emergency response protocols
