Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in New York State
- Prior experience as a school nurse, pediatric RN, or similar role working with school-age children is highly valued
- Solid knowledge of state and federal health regulations for schools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, confidential, and caring health office environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid, care for minor injuries, and manage acute/chronic conditions during school hours
- Dispense prescribed medications in accordance with district policy
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all required documentation
- Conduct health screenings and assist with immunization compliance
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote health and wellness education
- Respond to health emergencies with confidence and sound clinical judgment
