This position, located near Des Plaines and Highland Park, IL, requires a compassionate, dedicated RN with the CSN credential to help ensure students thrive in a safe, nurturing academic environment. Youll collaborate with faculty, families, and medical professionals to deliver top-quality care and health education in a busy school setting.
Qualified candidates will have:
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
- Prior nursing experience, preferably within a school or pediatric environment
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive space for all students
- Ability to efficiently manage a diverse K-12 caseload
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting health assessments, vision and hearing screenings
- Developing and implementing individualized health care plans for students with medical needs
- Providing emergency care, medication administration, and first aid
- Promoting a healthy and safe environment through health education and preventative initiatives
- Acting as a liaison among students, families, staff, and medical providers
- Maintaining accurate, confidential health records in compliance with regulations
