Take the lead in supporting a middle school students healthcare needs in a fulfilling contract role. This position is designed for an experienced registered nurse interested in making a meaningful impact within a school setting. Youll work onsite, providing 1:1 care for a medically fragile student, utilizing your specialized skills and compassion daily.
Key Qualifications:
- Active MD RN license required
- Experience with G-tube and tracheostomy care is essential
- Previous work with children or in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent or emergent situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a middle school student with complex medical needs, ensuring safety, comfort, and health throughout the school day
- Monitor the students condition, manage G-tube feeding and tracheostomy care
- Communicate frequently with teachers, staff, and family members to provide updates and instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided and interventions performed
- Collaborate with school personnel, medical professionals, and the Clinical Advisory Team to create and maintain an effective healthcare plan for the student
- Participate in professional development as needed and uphold best nursing practices
