Step into a pivotal role supporting student health as a Substitute RN for a school-based contract assignment. This temporary opportunity offers 35 hours per week from January 21st to February 6th, 2026. Your expertise will directly impact students well-being by managing daily medical needs within a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN licensure.
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care highly preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration procedures.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent or health-related situations.
- Organized, adaptable, and prompt with documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments following established school protocols.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate a safe and healthy school environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students under care.
- Offer immediate care for illness, injuries, or emergencies, notifying guardians as appropriate.
- Educate students and staff regarding preventive health measures and chronic condition management.
- Support daily operations of the health room, keeping supplies organized and responding to student needs as they arise.
