Job Description

A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide healthcare services at an elementary school in Cranston, RI. This contract position runs through the school year, with a focus on delivering quality nursing care in an educational setting. Working approximately 20 hours per week, this role centers on supporting the health and well-being of elementary-aged students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer nursing care and health assessments to students.
  • Manage student health records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide guidance on health plans and emergency procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate with paraprofessionals (e.g., CNAs or LPNs) as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN or LPN license in good standing.
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of school health policies and emergency protocols.
  • Professionalism and reliability in a school environment.
