Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN or LPN license in Rhode Island
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to student care
- Ability to collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining health records and care plans
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health care and triage for elementary-aged students
- Administer medications, emergency treatments, and health interventions as needed
- Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Document all clinical activities accurately, maintaining confidentiality of health records
- Communicate with families regarding student health needs and care plans
- Act as a resource for staff on matters of student health and safety
- Participate in school-wide initiatives supporting overall student wellness
Position Highlights:
- Part-time hours: Morning (8:00-9:30am) and afternoon (2:45-4:15pm) shifts; compensation is guaranteed for 4 hours daily
