Assignment Details:
- Contract running from May 27th through June 30th
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm
- School-based setting providing direct care and health support to children and staff
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current California RN or LVN license
- Strong background in school nursing, pediatric care, or public health
- Experience managing daily student health needs, medication administration, and emergency response
- Ability to uphold district health policies and collaborate with educators and families
- Reliable, adaptable, and skilled at working independently within a school environment
- Candidates must already possess required credentials, per directors request
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing services on campus, including first aid, illness assessment, and chronic condition management
- Administer medications and treatments per student healthcare plans
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
- Act as a key health resource for students, families, and staff
- Monitor communicable diseases and provide health education as needed
- Respond promptly to urgent care situations and facilitate referrals
