Providing expert nursing care in educational settings, this position supports medically complex middle and high school students in Acton, MA. The role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) holding a valid Massachusetts license, experienced in managing specialized health needs within a school environment.
Location: Acton, MA
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license
- Experience with pediatric nursing preferred, especially in school or similar settings
- Proficiency in seizure monitoring and management
- Skilled in gastrostomy tube (G-tube) feeding and medication administration
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive general nursing care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to 10 medically complex students across middle and high school age groups
- Monitor and manage seizures, administer G-tube feeds and medications according to care plans
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to ensure students health needs are met in the classroom
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate updates effectively
- Follow all relevant health and safety policies and protocols within the school setting
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with an early dismissal at noon on Wednesdays
