We're seeking compassionate and committed Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support a school environment on a full-time contract basis. This role offers the chance to provide essential care for students in a highly supportive educational setting.

A pair of important assignments are available:

• A long-term replacement position is needed for a nurse on maternity leave from March through May.
• In addition, a 1:1 nursing assignment is available from February to June, focused on providing dedicated care for a non-verbal, wheelchair-bound student requiring tube feeding.

Ideal candidates for this role demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in Iowa, in good standing.
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred.
• Confidence in tube feeding, mobility assistance, and working with non-verbal children.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to remain calm and nurturing in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care, medication administration, and medical interventions as needed.
• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with significant medical needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate care plans with staff and guardians.
• Offer support and guidance for students, teachers, and support staff on health-related matters.
• Adhere to all school policies, safety protocols, and clinical guidelines.

This position is based on a single campus, ensuring focused and consistent care for the assigned caseload throughout the duration of the contract.
