A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide essential healthcare support in an elementary school setting located in Columbia, PA. This role is ideal for nursing professionals who have experience working with children and are committed to maintaining a safe, healthy environment for young students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania LPN license or RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and able to work independently within a school health room
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Caseload: Health room services for elementary students
- Employment type: Contract, full time
Responsibilities:
- Administer routine and emergency nursing care to students in the school health room
- Conduct health assessments and screenings, documenting and monitoring student conditions
- Provide health education and guidance in accordance with school policies
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school administration regarding student health issues and care plans
- Manage medications and maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations
