A full-time nursing opportunity is available in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Florida, specifically in Clearwater. This role focuses on providing one-on-one care to students with complex medical needs in a school setting. Ideal for those with experience supporting individuals requiring specialized healthcare assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students diagnosed with gastrostomy tubes (G-tube), tracheostomies, and epilepsy.
- Monitor and manage medical equipment and administer treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure health and safety plans meet individual student needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with caregivers and healthcare providers.
- Provide emergency response and CPR as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Florida LPN or RN ASN licensure.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
- Ability to manage complex medical conditions such as G-tube feeding and tracheostomy care.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Position Details:
- Contract position.
- Full-time schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
- One-to-one assignments working closely with individual students.
