Job Description
A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available in a K-12 school setting. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year, providing care and health services to approximately 800 students. Working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, this role supports the health and well-being of children across all grade levels.
The successful candidate will hold a valid Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse (CSN) certificate and have experience managing a comprehensive school health program. This position also includes collaboration with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing essential support in delivering medical care and health education to students.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering and managing student health assessments and individualized care plans
- Responding to student medical emergencies and ongoing health concerns
- Providing health education and counseling to students, staff, and families
- Maintaining accurate health records in compliance with local and state regulations
- Collaborating with school staff and families to foster a healthy school environment
- Supervising and supporting the work of the CNA in clinical tasks and health monitoring
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills in pediatric nursing, effective communication, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to address diverse student needs.
