A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide dedicated 1:1 medical support in a year-round school setting. This contract position requires a compassionate professional to assist a student with extensive medical needs.
Location: Cicero, IL (student resides in Chicago, IL 60621)
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student throughout the school day, addressing complex medical needs.
- Monitor and manage the students health condition to ensure safety and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Accompany and ride the bus with the student to provide continuous medical support during transportation.
- Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and the students family to coordinate care and communicate any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current RN or LPN/LVN licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Experience working in school health settings preferred.
- Ability to manage complex medical needs and provide compassionate care.
- Comfortable riding the bus with the student daily.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability for an ASAP start in a year-round school environment.
