Key Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse license in Illinois and compliance with all state and district school nurse certification requirements
- Minimum of three recent years experience as a school nurse
- Strong grasp of federal, state, and local laws governing school health services
- Bilingual speakers (especially Spanish) encouraged to apply
- Current CPR and PALS certifications are a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct healthcare and preventative services to K8 students across designated school sites
- Develop and implement care plans, respond to emergencies, and communicate health needs to staff and families
- Promote a healthy school environment through education, advocacy, and collaboration with educational teams
- Maintain detailed health records in compliance with district and legal requirements
