A healthcare professional opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing care in a year-round school setting. This travel position is based in Chicago, IL 60621, supporting a student with extensive medical needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized nursing care throughout the school day
- Accompanying the student on the school bus to ensure safety and medical support
- Monitoring and managing the students medical condition in compliance with established care plans
- Communicating effectively with school staff and healthcare providers regarding the students status
- Maintaining accurate documentation of medical interventions and observations
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an RN or LPN/LVN with experience in school nursing
- Ability to manage complex medical needs in a pediatric or school environment
- Comfort and willingness to travel daily on a school bus with the student
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators and families
- Availability to start immediately in a year-round school program
