Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Previous pediatric, school-based nursing, or community health experience preferred
- CPR/BLS certification strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple health cases daily
- Ability to respond swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students and staff
- Oversee medication administration and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and emergency response procedures
- Serve as a key liaison between school personnel, families, and healthcare providers
- Assist in health education initiatives and promote healthy lifestyle choices district-wide
- Monitor and manage communicable disease protocols as needed
